Speaker (also known as speaker) is the mouthpiece of the sound system, which directly affects the quality of sound return and is one of the most critical parts of the sound system.
The power of the speaker is to convert an audio signal within an audible range into an audible sound with sufficient sound pressure level through a transducer (speaker unit). How can we complete this conversion more effectively? First of all, we must understand the properties of the sound signal. Secondly, we must understand and be familiar with the main technical characteristics of the speakers, and correctly select the speakers.
The sound signal attribute mainly refers to human voice, musical sound and various sound effects. These sound signals are all random signals with complex waveforms, but they belong to the frequency range (20Hz ~ 20kHz) of audible sounds of human ears, of which the frequency range of human voice is about 150Hz ~ 4kHz; The spectrum range of various music can reach 40Hz ~ 18khz. The energy distribution of the average spectrum is: the bass and middle bass parts are the largest, the middle and high parts are the second, and the high part is the smallest (about 1 / 10 of the energy of the middle and low parts, and the energy of the human voice is mainly concentrated in the frequency range of 200Hz to 3.5khz). The peak amplitude of these audible random signals is about 10-15 DB larger than its average value. Therefore, in order to correctly reproduce these random signals and ensure the beautiful sound quality of the reproduced signals, the loudspeaker must have wide frequency response characteristics, sufficient sound pressure level and signal dynamic range, and high-efficiency sensitivity of converting electric power into sound pressure.
